On his way to Griffin University in the United States Goa-based Lawrence Eduardo Gomes is arrested and held at the Airport by ACP Vishnu Kamath as his baggage concealed drugs. While attempts by Lorry and others are made to clear Lawrence's name, Vishnu, a cop known to accept bribes, continues his investigation aided by Inspectors Mercy D'Costa and Rane. This investigation will not only pit him against politically-connected drug-dealers but also international gangsters who operate in Goa with impunity. His inquires lead him to question business tycoon, Lorsa Biscuita, while informers indicate that Lorsa is meeting with a male named Michael Barbarosso, who may well be the head of this trade. While Vishnu attempts to attend this meeting, he is not aware that the venue is being moved to Karnataka - well outside Goa Police's jurisdiction - and he may never be able to find out, leave alone apprehend, this individual.

The movie tackles a revenge story that a guy (vivek) successfully takes for the murder of his wannabe politicians father and brother and ends up becoming a robin hood kinda politician himself, Story is fairly simple but execution is quite brilliant. Technically the movie is completely an RGV movie, Close up shots, awkward camera angles, sporadic use of shaky cam, dim-lit, backgrounds, and loud but effective background score. The movie relies heavily on the treatment as the story is pretty straightforward and RGV does just that, By providing a heavy background score he builds tension and background score replaces dialog's at many places, Another strong point of the movie are the acting performances.

August 31, 2010: Emraan Hashmi’s next release ‘Crook It’s Good To Be Bad’ is going to deal with the serious issue of racism, which had occurred in Australia recently. Mohit Suri of ‘Kalyug’ fame will be directing the movie.

The director was quoted sharing an experience during one of his visits to Australia. Mohit said that he was once standing outside a 24-hour convenience store, which is situated in the Sunshine district of Melbourne. The most brutal attacks on Indians had taken place in that spot in Australia. Suri said that he was shocked to known how they beat up the Indian only because of color and religion.

As a sensible filmmaker, Mohit felt that it was his duty to raise voice on this issue. He informed that while leaving the store, he saw an ad on the window of the store that read, ‘Accommodation is available for the Indian students for Gujarati boys only’.

The director said that that particular ad was the starting point of the movie. He realized that the social evils like racism are part of all human heart. But it depends on an individual to decide whether it is good to turn bad in this current scenario or does one need to pay for being good.

‘Crook It’s Good To Be Bad’ stars Emraan Hashmi, Arjan Bajwa of Fashion fame and new face Neha Sharma. In the movie, Emraan plays the guy, who has to decide to turn bad for good.

Set in Laalgunj, Uttar Pradesh, Dabangg is a story of Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan), a totally fearless but corrupt police officer with unorthodox working methods. Rajo (Sonakshi Sinha) with her unique perspective of life enters his world and turns it upside down. Chulbul starts to see life more positively and also gets sensitized to the value of a family. But his detractors especially the dubious Cheddi Singh (Sonu Sood) have their own vested interests and emerge as spokes in the wheel, putting one brother against the other. Makhanchan ends up carrying out acts oblivious to the consequences. Gurinder Chaddha the director of acclaimed films like Bend It like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice is back with a latest offering called Its a Wonderful Afterlife.

The film is a British comedy revolving around a widow and her daughter. The widow wants to marry off her only daughter but couldnt do so, as the daughter is dark and plumpy. Many reject her because of this reason and the mother avenges this behaviour by killing off the failed bridegrooms. Suddenly the spirits of her victims come back to haunt her. How does the mother overcome the spirits while marrying off her daughter forms the rest of the story.

Shabana Azmi and Goldy Notay play the mother-daughter duo along with Shaheen Khan, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Sally Hawkins and others. Chadha herself has co-produced the film along with co-writing the screenplay with her husband and producing partner Paul Mayeda Berges.
